Wasps build nests under eaves, inside wall gaps, on balcony ceilings and in garden shrubs around Fortitude Valley. Paper wasps make small open nests that look like an upside down umbrella, while European wasps can nest in wall cavities or underground. A nest near a door, window or play area is worth dealing with before the colony grows, especially in the warmer months when wasps are most active.
The crew locates the nest and treats it with a product that kills the wasps inside. Once the wasps are dead, they remove the nest where it can be reached from the ground or a ladder. For nests in wall cavities or underground, they treat the entry point so the product reaches the colony. They will also check for other nests around the home, as wasps often build more than one. Nests on second storey eaves or high balconies may need extra gear, so mention the height when you book.
