Killing the ants you can see with a spray usually only moves the trail somewhere else, so the aim of the visit is to reach the colony.
The crew begins by tracing where the trails come from, whether that is a gap in the tiles, a wall cavity, a garden bed or a crack in the balcony. You may see more ants for a day or two after the visit as they collect the bait. Let them feed rather than wiping them away, because that is how the treatment reaches the nest.
